The Dunns Orford – Website Copy

Combining copy and content to elevate customer experience

For this project, the brief was to build a new standalone space online for a beautiful holiday property on the Suffolk Coast.

My client Jodie had a website designer in place and lots of creative ideas. But with a combination of running a business, a young family and new renovation projects in the mix, time became a barrier to getting the copy right.

The property is more than just a holiday let. The house has been in the family for decades so it was really important that we created heartfelt copy to tell the story and build connection and engagement with the reader.

And, as this home is all about the little details, it needed copy to match. To sell the experience rather than just the product.

In addition to selling The Dunns as a place to stay, Jodie wanted the website to be a hub of inspiration about the local Suffolk area that she is so passionate about. And to create a Journal of content about everything that Suffolk has to offer.

But it was about more than simply adding a blog to the site. The addition of the Explore section shares recommendations and ideas to inspire readers and bring them to the area, even if they haven’t yet booked to stay.

And by doing so, we added depth, value and interest for her readers helping to build trust and engagement with the brand.
